APEC Finance and Development Program |
APEC
Finance and Development Program, an initiative proposed
by China under the APEC Finance Ministers' Meeting,
aims to strengthen capacity building in the APEC
region. The World Bank joined China as the co-sponsor
of the AFDP in February, 2002.
The three-year trial period of the AFDP ended in
2004, with wide recognition in the region. In the
past three years, through financing research projects,
organizing forums and providing training workshops,
AFDP has made significant contributions in the APEC
region to capacity building in the fields of finance
and development. |
