In June, 2003，Shanghai National Accounting Institute entered into MOU with the World Bank for membership of Global Distance Learning Network, and became Shanghai Distance Learning Center (abbreviated as GDLN—Shanghai DLC).
GDLN—Shanghai DLC has objectives as follows:
• Make full use of resources Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) and Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Center (AFDC) have in accounting, auditing, finance and development to serve the capacity building in China and the Asia-Pacific Region;
• Develop global, regional and national partnership in various ways;
• Take advantage of the “mixed” training pattern composed of multi-media video conferences, internet-based e-learning and classroom tuition;
• Promote knowledge sharing and exchanging throughout the world and achieve competitiveness and sustainability for the Shanghai DLC.
